Baby Entertainment Tips

We are always looking for new ways to make our little ones happy. Hearing your baby giggle and laugh will always put a smile on your face no matter what is going on in your life. There are lots of ways to get your baby to chuckle and giggle.

To help your baby work on their motor skills and hand eye coordination, you can play a simple game such as pat-a-cake or even peek-a-boo. These may be old but for our babies they are still new. Mirrors are another great fascination for babies. Not only do they like to look at themselves but if you make funny faces in the mirror while holding the baby they will think it’s funny.

If you are cleaning the house, you can have fun letting the baby sit on the washing machine during the spin cycle or even letting her watch the spinning action. Another great idea is to go to the local library for a free story. This way your child will be able to interact with other children and you get to talk to other adults.

How about creating a fun basket or toy bag for your child? You can place fun things to play with and learn about in a basket or a bag that they can pull out and put back in. Use different objects that are hard, soft and shaped differently for them to have fun with. Singing songs together can be fun also. Teach them nursery rhymes to sing or you can even buy a tape with children songs that you can learn together.

Going for a walk in the park is great for getting some fresh air and wonderful exercise for mom after having baby. And while you are at the park, you can blow bubbles with baby. They love to watch the pretty colors and try to poke at them. This is a great idea for indoors as well.

Don’t forget to take time for you and baby to just relax. When it is getting close to nap time, take a blanket and stretch it out. This way you and baby can lie and look at the sky or just snuggle and let the day drain away.
