Benefits of Yoga
February 8, 2010
Yoga comes in many forms like Asana (Yoga Poses), Pranayama (Yoga breathing techniques) and Meditation.
Before all of these came out, yoga, considered best for meditation, helped humans in beating stress, therefore avoiding illnesses that were stress related.
What benefits do we get out of doing yoga?
If one has time to spare, spend a little of it for yoga. Incorporating this practice in our daily life will prove helpful.
Unfortunately, humans do not take yoga easily, because a Yogic lifestyle can be a little hard to follow. To see the benefits it gives to people, we need to know how to apply it to our daily lives.
Yoga makes you Loving.
See what I mean, Yoga is “difficult to maintain”. Showing kindness to the world, forgiving our enemies and suggestively becoming vegetarian, will fill our life with happiness and in return, give us peace of mind and make us sleep well.
Mentally, you should not abhor others and entertain bad thoughts. Not doing this will drain us emotionally and physically, which is not good for our health. Bottom line is that sharing kindness with others will heal us naturally, therefore giving us a healthy and positive outlook in life generally.
As we do yoga, our compassion awakens. This may be good, but it will also subject us to emotional pain, fear of taken advantage of and abuse. Some may ignore our act of kindness and completely put no value to it. However, with yoga keeping you in control emotionally, you tend to accept them as they are.
Yoga for Health
As your heart and mind must work perfectly, they should be free from all negative feelings, because those negative feelings will only give you stress and you know how stress can be deceiving.
You may not realize it, but keeping and spending many efforts to avoid an enemy, attracts negative vibes in your life and fills your heart with hatred. Nevertheless, with yoga, you will learn to forgive and maybe make the effort of talking to that person. Hence, your heart gets the therapy it needs.
Live a healthy life in many ways. If you think that yoga can help you generally in all aspects of your life, then take it. Take yoga classes. There are also do-it-yourself books available in all bookstores. Get one and you will see yourself glowing inside out.
