For evening wear, choose a cream-based rouge as it would spread evenly on the skin. A blush on can be a good idea as well. Use a shimmering eye shadow, especially if you are going to a party in the evening. Apply loose powder all over the face before applying makeup. Use eyeliner only on the upper eyelids.
