Blood Pressure Information – An Advanced Tips On Symptoms Of Low Blood Pressure And Their Cure
The heart is the most vital organ in our body. It supplies oxygenated blood full of nutrients to different organs in our body. It then carries waste and toxins in the form of deoxygenated blood back from these organs.
This happens with a complex network of arteries and veins. The pressure at which the blood is pumped in to these arteries is known as blood pressure. Blood pressure in a healthy adult is around 120mm Hg/80mm Hg. This is measured in regard with the rising level of mercury in millimeters that the pressure would produce.
Types of Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is generally of two types: systolic blood pressure, and the diastolic blood pressure. Hence 120mm Hg is the systolic where as 80mm Hg is the diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure is the maximum pressure when the heart is beating and then contracting to pump out blood. The diastolic blood pressure is the minimum pressure when the heart is at rest in between two consecutive beats. Blood pressure is generally low in children and adolescents. But if you are an adult, you should take your blood pressure readings regularly.
Hypertension
If a patient’s blood pressure is uniformly found to be higher than 120mmHg then it means that you are suffering from Hypertension. Hypertension is the leading cause of many heart diseases, and if compounded can even lead to strokes in the long run (which can be life threatening). So if your blood pressure is crossing above 140mm Hg and 90mm Hg, then you should take preventive measures to bring it down. Your high blood pressure is twice as likely to cause you more problems compared to someone with a normal blood pressure.
Hypo tension
If the blood pressure is lower than 90mmHg/60mm Hg then it is considered to be low. Any of the two systolic or diastolic pressures can be lower. This means that you are suffering from hypotension. Hypotension can make you feel dizzy and weak. It is generally a result of strong medications or some underlying health condition.
Whether suffering from high or low blood pressure you should take care to monitor your blood pressure regularly and take all preventive steps to bring it back to the normal level.
Cure
Do consult your physician to help you bring down your hypertension slowly or pull up your hypo tension, gradually. Check on your current medications to see if these could have affected the current situation. It is always important to inform and update your physician of the medications you are taking, whether from another physician or self remedies. Without a full knowledge, your physician is not well equipped to help you correct the situation.
The best way to correct your blood pressure readings would be through natural means; again, after your consultation with the physician. Check on your lifestyle and see what activities you must change or add on, such as exercises, to bring back a normal blood pressure reading.
Regular checkups are a good way to monitor your blood pressure for a good life. Go for one today!
