Colored Lenses: For The Perfect Image

Fashion plays an important role in many fields of our lives.  Colored contact lenses have become an element of fashion in today’s world.  During earlier times contact lenses were manufactured in order to improve eye sight.  Nowadays they are used to look stylish. 

Fashion Lenses

These lenses are usually colored and change the appearance and color of the eye.  They are used mainly in entertainment industries and for personal use as well.  They can be worn on a daily basis or when desired.  The water content for different types of lenses varies.  The most common color chosen by many people is green.  People also go for blue and hazel but not as much as they go for green.

Choosing Lenses

It is important to consult an eye doctor before purchasing fashion lenses as some unsuitable lenses can do harmful damage to your eyes. Once you are sure of which kind of lenses you can use it is important to choose the right color to suit your image.  If you want other people to notice the change in you then you may choose a color that is very much different than your natural eye color.  But if you’re looking for slight changes then choose a color that is similar to your natural color.

You should also consider your skin tone before making changes to your eyes.  Bright colored lenses are suitable for people with darker skin tone.  Soft colors such as honey and warm brown go well with cool skin tone.

Complement your eye color

When using contact lenses it is important that your make up goes well with the eye color.  Light blue and green contact lenses go well with fair skin.  If you are choosing blue lenses than complement your eye color with a pink or brown eye shadow.  If you have light skin with grey eyes then you can use all colors of eye shadow to complement the color.

Mauve and other dark shades look good with brown eyes.  However, if you have dark skin and your eye color is also brown, then the deepness of the eyes can be highlighted with light tones of honey.

Make up can be chosen to complement the eye color or the eye color can be chosen to suit the make up.
