Dealing With Anxiety Attacks
There are many people that experience anxiety attacks everyday. You may find that your palms get sweaty, heart starts to race, stomach starts to turn and you may even black out. There is some normalcy to feeling this way if you are going to have to stand in front of a lot of people and give a presentation. Getting nervous is a part of life.
Unfortunately, it can get to the extreme and you may need medication to help you keep it under control. One of the signs may be if you feel the need to run and hide every time that you are going to be around a large crowd of people or something else that may make you feel uneasy to the point of passing out.
Having anxiety attacks means that it could affect your daily lifestyle. It can prevent you from taking to a member of the opposite sex, going on a job interview or even getting a big project done for the boss. This is a lifestyle altering condition. Also, if you suffer from anxiety attacks, they could eventually turn into panic attacks and they are even worse.
There are many different things that can cause us to be prone to panic attacks. Our biology may have something to do with it. Some think that it is possible that our gene for fear keeps us from getting hurt and protects us from our simple fears. That would include small things such as being afraid of insects.
Behaviorists feel that it has something to do with the way that we are raised. From the time we are little we are taught to stay away from strangers and boys are mean to girls. They feel that this has an affect on the way we behave when we get older.
Different symptoms are indigestion, trembling, hyperventilation and heart palpitations. If you start to experience any of these symptoms, take a deep breath and try to calm yourself. Let your doctor know that you may be experiencing these types of attacks and they will be able to help you get it under control.
