Dealing With Hair Loss
For most people, the loss of hair is more upsetting than losing money, unless of course, you do not suffer from hair loss. This is with the assumption that money can be earned, but hair that falls cannot grow back.
However, there are possible ways to get your hair back without spending too much money or undergoing any painful or tedious procedure.
Hair loss is caused due to a hormone called androgen, which is the main hormone for men and is also found in a small quantity in women. It could be one of the reasons for hair loss in women too.
Due to an enzyme reaction, the hormone DHT or dihydrotestosterone is produced. DHT gets attached to the hair follicles, reducing blood supply to the hair and eventually blocking all blood supply. Slowly your hair starts shrinking, becoming weak, brittle and dull.
Eventually your hair falls off and does not grow back as hair usually does, because the hair follicle is damaged. Hence, you have the occurrence of bald spots on the head.
Hair loss of this nature can be prevented by removing or preventing the formation of DHT and by rejuvenating the hair. This helps improve blood circulation to the hair, prevents hair loss and promotes the growth of new hair. It sounds pretty simple, but how does it work?
There is a substance called Minoxidil that restricts the production of DHT due its anti-androgen qualities. Due to this, the hair follicles regain lost strength and grow stronger and faster. To keep your hair looking and growing healthy, it is important to eat healthy.
Include plenty of vitamins and minerals in your diet. It is quite easy to say what is to be done, rather than to actually do it. Most hair loss lotions or medicines are prepared keeping this in mind.
They look at replacing the lost vitamins and minerals in the body and maintain the overall health of your hair. Use of these supplements or lotions together can effectively reduce the loss of hair and promote the growth of new healthy hair.
