Enjoying Life To The Fullest

life-after-retirementHow do you enjoy life to the fullest?  It is a constant renewal of the body and general appearance that enables one to enjoy life to the hilt.

A good deal of money is spent on attempts to look youthful and enhance our appearance.  However, we spend very little time and attention on the foods we eat and what they are able to do for our bodies.  Skin care creams have their advantages.  But why not choose something readily available and has no side effects.

How do you do this?  Through diet and general health habits!

Our daily diet must contain fruits and vegetables.  Green vegetables, pulses, legumes, and peas are good for the body.  Certain vegetables contain minerals.  Green leafy vegetables are rich sources of iron.  Whole grains and cereals are beneficial for our bodies when consumed.

Avoidance of caffeine is prudent.  Alcohol consumption should be reduced or eliminated all together.  Foods that are fatty and spicy have adverse affects on our body.  While we do need elements from these foods, our intake should be minimal and controlled.  Foods that contain fat clog the pores and minimize beautiful and healthy appearance of our skin.

Tobacco!  The nicotine contained in the smoke leads to an increase in blood pressure, heart rate and blood flow.  The arteries also narrow.  It causes cancer in various body parts, like the larynx, lungs, esophagus, mouth, cervix, kidneys and bladder. Tobacco is harmful for expectant mothers and affects the fetus and child after birth.  It spoils natural beauty.  Stay clear of it!

The beneficial effects of water are underplayed in mainstream culture.  Two liters of water should be consumed daily to help flush the toxins from our bodies.

Exercise is another important aspect of a holistic health style to achieve renewed vitality.  It keeps the body trim and in shape.  While exercising, the sweat pores open, and the face becomes flushed.  The result is lovely skin.  All individuals, both men and women, desire youthful and vibrant skin.

Thanks to research, and recent discoveries, skin care creams which contain herbal and botanical ingredients are readily available.  These help make one look attractive and youthful, but should be used in addition to a healthy diet.
