Upper tops of gowns were designed in a fashion which created flat chested effect on the wearer. These dresses were worn for evening soirees or high teas and had amazing combinations in terms of texture, colour, fabric and patterns.
They employed the use of beads which had shining colours, intricate embroidery and varied colored feathers as part of embellishments on them. Women wore coats which used velvet as the fabric and had the lining of rhinestone which gave these coats a rich chic appearance. Coats for women were made of velvet which not only had a rich colour but also has a rhinestone lining. These coats were found to have a length which did not extend beyond the knee.
