Eye Cream Irritation

When shopping for eye cream that is new, it is important to check out what’s on the label. If you have any allergies it is important to make sure that it contains nothing that you are allergic to so that you can avoid dangerous reactions.

But what if you have no allergies whatsoever and your new eye cream is causing your eyes to get all puffy and irritated. Try getting an eye cream which is fragrance free. This is actually one of the leading irritation ingredients in makeup products that can cause allergic reaction symptoms.

You also want to check the other chemicals that are listed in the product that you are looking to purchase. Look for one that is free of preservatives. Paraben is a preservative that causes redness and swelling to sensitive skin. Try to avoid this if at all possible.

If you find an eye cream that you like and does not irritate your skin it is best to stick with it. Changing your creams too often can cause irritation to your skin since they all contain different ingredients.

With a little bit of research, you will also find that certain creams are made fragrance and preservative free. Usually these products will say that they are specially made for sensitive skin. You can also find some products that are hypo-allergenic if you have allergies or super sensitive skin.

If for some reason your skin continues to show signs of irritation that persist, it is recommended that you pay a visit to your doctor. He may be able to suggest a solution to the problem that you are having. He will be able to let you know if it the product that you are using is good not.

Remember, do a little research and read the labels to ensure that you purchase a product that is right for you. Everyone’s skin is different and has different needs. Some of us can wear regular every day products and some of us need something for sensitive skin.
