Ask somebody what is the prettiest part of the face and pat comes the reply – the eyes. The eyes are the most beautiful and most expressive part of the face. With the right amount of make up, they can absolutely transform the face. The following make up tips will ensure that make up will highlight the best features.
Eye make can be broadly classified under two heads – the use of shadow and the use of mascara. We shall first discuss the basic tips for using shadow. It is to be used to outline the eye and give it shape. Ideally, three shades should be used with the lightest shade following the brow bone, while the shade that is the darkest should be applied on the eyelid.
Proper use of shadow can really bring attention to the eyes and make them look bigger in appearance. This is done by simultaneously applying the light shade immediately after the brow and by extension of the shadow used above the eyelid.
If the eye shadow is to be used during the day, it would be advisable to go with neutral tones. Among the types of eye shadows, powder shadow has the longest staying power. If there are wrinkles, it is better to avoid frost eye shadow. It is better to use matte instead. Similarly, cream shadow has a tendency to smudge. So it should be used only in temperate climate.
Now we will turn our attention to mascara. The first thing to do before using mascara is to use an eyelash curler. While using the same, remember not to use the curler extremely close to the roots of the eyelashes. Proper use ensures that the eyelashes are extended to the maximum. The best effect of mascara is visible after two coats. Make sure that the second coat is applied only after the drying of the first coat.
It is better to stick to brown/black mascara which will normally suit everyone. Normally, blondes should avoid black mascara. Apply mascara to both the top and bottom eyelashes. Keep a tissue while applying to the bottom eyelash to prevent smudging on the face. Remember the occasion for wearing mascara. If at all it involves contact with water, it is better to use waterproof mascara.
