Eyebrow Waxing – For Those Perfectly Shaped Eyebrows
A pair of perfectly shaped eyebrows will highlight your facial features and will definitely capture everyone’s attention. For shaping your eyebrows, you can follow many methods like tweezing, threading and plucking. Apart from these methods, you can also follow the method of waxing for shaping your eyebrows.
Eyebrow waxing is an easy method by which you can give your eyebrows the desired shape. This method even though is a bit painful, is guaranteed to give quick and long lasting results.
You can get an eyebrow waxing done by visiting any nearby salon. You can also do eyebrow waxing all by yourself with the help of homemade waxes.
These homemade waxes are less expensive when compared to the commercially available eyebrow waxes. The natural products ingredients present in the homemade ingredients will nourish and skin and will prevent the occurrence of skin irritations.
You can do eyebrow waxing by using a honey based wax. The wax can be prepared by heating sugar in a bowl and then adding to it honey and lemon juice. The mixture will have a golden yellow color when it has cooled down.
One type of hot eyebrow wax can be made by melting 2 tablespoon of beeswax and then adding to it a blended mixture of 10 strawberries, 5 egg whites and 4 tablespoons of honey. Keep on heating the mixture until it has attained a uniform composition, and your strawberry honey wax is ready to use.
The strawberries present in the wax will act as a protective shield thus protecting the sensitive skin around the eyebrows during the process of waxing.
Do cleanse your face properly before you start your eyebrow waxing session. Using an eye pencil make marks along the eyebrow line in an arched shape. The area to be waxed will come outside the line made by the eye pencil.
Apply the homemade wax on the marked area using a plastic spatula. Press a cotton strip firmly against the wax and pull it off in the direction opposite to that of hair growth. The faster you pull off the cotton strip, the lesser the pain you will experience.
Dabbing a cotton ball dipped in a solution of baking soda and water will help in removing the wax residue present on the skin.
