Face Mask Recipes – Restore That Youthful Glow
Regular application of face masks, made from natural ingredients, can leave your facial skin feeling soft, relaxed, and rejuvenated. Most of the ingredients required for making a facial mask are easily available.
Just rummage through your kitchen cabinets or visit your local grocer and voila the freshest ingredients are available at your disposal, for making an all natural face mask.
Facial masks can be categorized as either mineral masks, cleansing masks, herbal masks or hydrating masks. There are different types of face masks to suit the different skin types as well. The biggest benefit of preparing your own facial masks are that they are easy to prepare, inexpensive and free from the toxins which are normally found in commercially produced face masks.
The following face masks can be prepared at home in less than five minutes and help to restore that youthful glow.
Sea Salt and Yogurt Face Mask
To prepare this toning face mask, vigorously mix half teaspoon of sea salt in a bowl with two egg yolks and half a cup of yogurt. Once the ingredients have combined thoroughly, apply the mixture in circular motion on your face. After about five minutes, wash off this face mask with lukewarm water. The sea salt and yogurt face mask can help to soothe and tighten your facial skin.
Honey and Chamomile Herbal Mask
In a deep bowl mix together a tablespoon of honey with a whole egg. Next add a teaspoon each of dried and powdered chamomile flowers and fresh mint which has been finely chopped. Once the ingredients have blended together evenly spread the mixture on your face and neck. Leave this mask on for approximately ten to fifteen minutes before washing it off with tepid water.
Juice Mask for Oily Skin
The goodness of lemon and strawberry juice is harnessed to prepare this excellent astringent face mask. To prepare this face mask which is ideal for oily skin, blend together a teaspoon of lemon juice, the whites of two eggs, three teaspoons of honey and a small cup of fresh strawberries. Once the ingredients have blended together apply in circular motion over your face and neck. Leave this mask on for approximately ten minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.
