Facial Moisturizers
March 8, 2010
Have you ever tried the facial moisturizers that are most promoted in the media, did you end up with skin becoming worse than it was? When any kind of cream is used on the face, this is nothing unusual, as it always happens.
This is not to discourage you from using a skincare supplement regularly. You only have to take more care and choose the correct product. Many of these moisturizers which are available in the market and meant for the face are no good for the skin, and generally don’t live up to the claims made by their manufacturers.
Though many of these moisturizers claim on the labels that the moisturizer has been prepared with natural elements, usually this is not the case. These are nothing but products made from petroleum-based ingredients, even as the manufacturers insist that these elements are indeed natural products. The truth is that these components are only byproducts of the waste produced during the process of making gasoline out of crude oil.
Skin is likely to be harmed considerably if these products with petroleum-content are used. Since they can’t go deep into the skin, they can form greasy layers on the surface of the skin, which will attract dirt. It then accumulates on the skin and goes down through the pores, possibly causing blackheads and acne.
These components of the facial moisturizers may also obstruct the exfoliation process of the skin and as the skin cannot easily draw moisture from the surface, it will reduce its oil production. With this happening, your skin will begin to dry up and flakes will form in spite of repeatedly applying the creams.
Instead of such moisturizers, your face needs products which really have natural constituents. Oils derived from plants are the best moisturizers for the skin, apart from emollients. They have components which renders them perfect partners for the oil produced in the skin, so that deeper penetration of moisturizers takes place.
There are some facial creams which have been prepared with ingredients which can increase the levels of Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin significantly, a feat that is achieved merely through proteins and a kelp extract. Switch over to natural anti-aging moisturizers to really look younger.
