Finding A Good Breastfeeding Bra

Your baby is out and your doctor advises you to breastfeed, to develop the baby’s immune system, as well as to develop a closer bond with him/her. You start breastfeeding and at first, you find it painful; but later on, you get used to it.

When you leave home, you still wish to breastfeed your baby, because you do not trust what formulated milk can give to your baby.  However, the problem that concerns you right now is how to be able to comfortably breastfeed your baby? What would be the best bra to use when breastfeeding?

First, you have to make sure that you are using a bra that is appropriate for your size.  It should fit you well. The cup size should correspond to the size of your breast. To know your cup size, you have to measure your breast to determine the bra size and your measurement should round up to the next even number.

Then measure the fullness of your breast and subtract it from the first measurement. If you have a difference of 2 inches then you should use cup size B. It will be cups C and D if the differences are 3 inches and 4 inches, respectively.

Second, you have to make sure that your bra is comfortable. You should choose those that are made of cotton and those without wires, for they can cause clogging of your milk. Although under-wire bras for some are comfortable, doctors do not recommend using them when women breastfeed.

The next thing to consider is whether you like your bra to be stylish or not. This is up to your style and taste. What is important is that you are comfortable when you use the bra and when you are breastfeeding. The choice of color also depends on your personality and taste.

Finally, there are nursing bras that can easily expose the breast area. This offers convenience and comfort for the maternity. Above are the criteria that you can use to find the best bra to use while feeding your baby. Enjoy the experience!
