Finding The Right Hairstyle For You

When you’re considering a new hairstyle, you may look to magazines or even celebrities to find a hairstyle that you like. But just because the hairstyle looks great on that model or celebrity does not mean that, it is going to work for you.

This is because we all have our own unique look made up of the shape and size of our face and facial features, our personal hair type, and our body type. What looks good on one person may not look good on someone else.

While you can make changes to your hairstyle and color, there is very little that you can do to change the shape of your face.

That being said, there is a suitable hairstyle for each individual. There are hairstyles that can add to your appearance by enhancing certain facial features or detracting from less attractive facial features.

The first step to selecting a new hairstyle is to determine what your facial structure is.  You can have a round face, an oblong face, or a square or rectangular face. In order to achieve a balanced look you must first understand the shape of your face.

There is a great new computerized technique that allows you to plug in the shape of your face and then try out different hairstyles until you find one that suits your face. This is known as a virtual hair program.

When you choose a new hairstyle, you must also consider your lifestyle. If you are an active person with little time to spend on yourself then you will need to look for a hairstyle that can be quickly fixed each day and easily maintained. Some quick fix hairstyles are bobs or layers.

There is little styling involved with these two styles. With a bob, you just have to comb your hair into place and add a little gel for hold. With a layered look just wash your hair and scrunch it with your fingers.

When selecting a new hairstyle you also have to determine what your skin tone is. This will affect the color that you choose to dye your hair.

If you wear eyeglasses, you will need to find a hairstyle that works with your eye glasses. If you want to wear bangs you will need to consider the length of the bangs to make sure that they do not overlap your glasses.
