If your skin type is oily, then you must be willing to deal with your skin care properly and this needs use of moisturizer regularly. Oily skin type basically has big pores which are open and the secretion from pores gives an oily or shiny look to the face. This also has an effect on the look of the face and the person with oily skin tends to look unattractive and untidy.

But oily skin type has its own benefit as well. The people with oily skin tend to look more fresh and young with aging than the other people of the same age group with other skin types as the oil on the skin helps protect and lubricate the skin. But you need to remove the extra oil from skin on regular basis. So you need to follow the following two rules:

1. Cleansing:

The first thing you must follow is to clean your face twice daily with any mild and good cleanser. Never forget to use cleanser before you go to bed as otherwise your pores will get blocked and this will result into blackheads or acne. Here you should remember one thing – do not try to use cleanser more than two times a day as otherwise your skin will get dry. So leave the needed oil on the skin and just wash twice a day to remove extra oil.

2. Moisturizing:

Use of moisturizer is a must after the use of cleanser as it helps to keep the natural moisture on your skin after the cleansing. You may feel after you wash your skin with cleanser that your skin is a bit tight and this is an indication that your skin is dry so apply moisturizer to keep your skin naturally moist.

Selection of moisturizer for oily skin:

Before you buy a moisturizer, never forget to look for a moisturizer with the tag of oily skin or gel type. These gel type moisturizers are best for oily skin as they contain more of water than the moisturizers for other skin types.

Qualities of Good Moisturizer:

A good moisturizer must have following qualities:
• Must control production of oil
• Must reduce the open pores
• Must be free of oil
• Light and fast absorbent
• Economical
