Hair Loss Problems

February 27, 2009

haircare_visuelIt is natural to lose a few strands of hair everyday and they always do get replaced with new ones till the age of about 50 in women. After fifty the “appearance of new hair” diminishes slowly and the hair thins out visibly.

In men the thinning process can start at the age of twenty or so and that is genetic in nature. Graying of hair, dandruff, heavy hair loss, brittle hair or broken hair and slow growth of hair are common problems anybody can face. Most of the problems are really natural signs of the aging process or due to the genetic make up. There are some measures to prevent the occurrence of such problems and there are home remedies that are helpful to reduce the impact of the problems.

Hair Care Basics and Remedies

Balanced food is a formula for healthy living and it is also important for the control of hair loss. Treating your hair with care is a must, so select a soft shampoo. Hard and strong shampoos can affect the hair adversely and cause hair loss.

Using baby shampoo is not a bad idea as they are not chemically strong. Shampooing daily is not necessary, unless your work environment is humid and chemically contaminated. Lather and massage the scalp gently. Wash off with lukewarm water.

Do not towel roughly and do not use a hot blower to dry it. Do not comb or stylize your hair when wet for it can break your hair. While using conditioners and hair dyes take care to select the best to protect your hair from harmful chemicals.

Easy Remedies and Self hair care Tips

Massaging on a regular basis is essential. With oil, massage well into the scalp to make the oil reach the deep roots of hair. After a thorough massage wrap it with a plastic head cover and put a warm towel around for some time. Then use a mild shampoo to wash. This treatment done on regular basis helps the hair pores get energized and rejuvenated.

Eating a tablespoon full of sesame seeds every morning nourishes the hair as sesame contains about 1,200 mg. of calcium and magnesium, which is the best nourishment to the scalp.

Consuming curds (yogurt) daily.

Apple, cider, vinegar and tea mix is to be used to rinse the hair to make it glow in health.

Warm mix of castor and almond oils is the best medium for massage once a week.

Ground lime seeds and black pepper in equal measure in water applied to the scalp at regular basis keeps the scalp healthy without dandruff.

Almond oil massage to the scalp two three times a day will stop further hair loss immediately. Massage with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel or with the mix of honey with egg yolk into the scalp and hair and leave it for thirty minutes before washing with warm water to prevent baldness.
