Hair Style: Band Braid

When your hair is long and straight, it is tempting to just throw it up in a ponytail and call it a day. We especially do this when it is hot and muggy outside. Why not dress up your ponytail and give it just a little oomph and style.

To get this easy and carefree style, brush your hair back into a ponytail at the base of your neck and hold into place with a band. Be sure to keep a small section free from the ponytail that is enough for you to braid. If your hair is frizzy you can hold it in place and smooth it down with little bit of styling wax.

Braid the extra section that you left out and then wrap it around the band and secure with a clip to hold it in place. This entire process should only take you about 5 minutes. It is a very easy hair style and is great for long hair that is all one length.

The only supplies that you will need are a covered hair band, brush, wax and grips to hold the braid in place. No matter what the shape of your face is, if your hair is long and straight, this style will look great on you.

You can use this style when you are going to the movies, a day at the beach or even when you are going out for the evening for some fun. It will keep you cool in the heat and keep you looking fresh and dry even when you are sweating and hot.

Remember, it is important to have several different styles for your hair so you do not get bored with your style. You should have several different ways to style your hair so you can keep things light and interesting each and every day.

So, enjoy your new style which will only take you but a few short minutes to lock into place. Your friends will like your new style just as much as you do. This great for when you are on the go and in a hurry.
