healthy-habitsYour health depends on what habits you keep. You simply need some healthy habits to keep yourself healthy and fine.

Here are a few healthy habits that should get you started on your way to health.

Drink a lot of water every day

You might have heard this a million times over; however it just cannot be stressed enough. You should drink water every day. If you live in a relatively dry area, then you will need to drink more and if you are in a wet climate, you will not need so much of water. However, the bottom line is that you should drink a minimum of eight glasses everyday. A fine way to see if you are drinking enough water is that your urine should be almost clear, only a slight bit yellow.

If you have enough water in your body, your body temperature will be regulated, toxins will be flushed and your cells will get enough oxygen as well as nutrients.

Include vegetables and fruits in your diet

You need to have at least ten servings daily. Ten servings means approximately five cups. You can include them easily in your meals as well as your snacks.

You can keep fruits cut into bite size pieces for snacking in between meals. You can add vegetables in your daily cooking.

Walk at least half an hour every day

You will need a 30-minute walk everyday to keep yourself healthy and fine. It is easy as well as inexpensive. You do not need to invest in any special equipment or anything. Simply put on your walking shoes and there you go.

Take a few breaks

Everybody needs a break. Breaks will greatly enhance your performance. Even a small break will help you reduce your stress a little and give you rest.

You can relax in your break and hence the levels of your stress hormone cortisol will reduce. This will help to enhance your immunity as well as balance your heart rate.

Limit your treats

You should treat yourself with a cookie or two once in a while. However, you should keep the treats to a minimum.

Do not forget to brush twice a day

It is very important to take care of your dental health. After all, how do you think you will enjoy your food if you cannot even eat?
