High Blood Pressure Symptoms
High blood pressure is a condition when blood flow in blood vessels and arteries become slow due to some kind of obstructions and which results blood to exert pressure on the walls of the arteries and blood vessels.
This condition doesn’t allow blood to reach all the cells and tissues in sufficient quantity and also the pressure punctures the wall of the arteries and blood vessels.
High blood pressure is a common problem in adults and old people and millions of people worldwide suffer from this problem. High blood pressure doesn’t show any symptoms in the beginning until it becomes a major problem. Due to this reason this problem is also known as ‘the silent killer’ or hypertension. Given below are some symptoms of high blood pressure which can be observed at any stage of hypertension.
Headache is one of the most common symptoms of hypertension. People who develop high blood pressure often complain about their headache. In most cases of high blood pressure, patients experience dizziness too.
High blood pressure affects eyes also and patients often complain about their blurred vision.
When blood pressure is high, patients experience chest pain which may or may not be accompanied with shortness of breath. In many cases chest pain is also a symptom of heart attack.
When blood pressure increases patients experiences nausea and vomiting too.
High blood pressure damages internal organs of the patients which causes kidney failure, heart failure, stroke etc. Therefore it is very necessary to prevent high blood pressure through right diet and healthy life style. Eating right food means to eat foods rich in fiber and vitamins and to avoid foods such as junk and oily foods.
You should also avoid stress because stress is one of the major reasons of hypertension. Smoking should be strictly avoided because cigarette or tobacco in any form hardens the arteries and blood vessels which results in atherosclerosis. Hence blood flow is obstructed and people often can experience heart attack if blood doesn’t reach your heart.
Exercise regularly to keep your blood flow smooth and to get rid of plaque formed on the walls of the arteries. Exercise also lowers your cholesterol level which controls high blood pressure.
