Home Remedies For Hair Growth

By on July 20, 2009

long_hairTo have healthy hair and avoid split ends, it is important to trim the hair every two to three months. Many people tend to avoid that. And the reason is the slow growth of hair.

The growth of hair varies from person to person. But I agree waiting for the hair to grow is frustrating. There are products available in the market that will promise you healthy long locks in no time.

But instead of going for chemicals why not try out something natural and something that you can prepare at home yourself. And trust me; all the remedies are fairly simple and easy to use.

The first remedy I have for you involves coconut oil and some amla. Take 3-4 cups of coconut oil and boil some amla in it. Store the oil in a container and use it at least thrice a week. This will not only stimulate hair growth but also prevent hair loss.

If you cannot find amla, then use coconut milk. You do not have to mix it with anything. Apply fresh coconut milk on the scalp. Keep it on for half an hour and then shampoo the hair. Make sure the coconut milk is fresh and do not use the canned ones available in the market. This is one of the popular methods of stimulating hair growth.

A mixture of castor oil and coconut oil is an effective tonic to increase hair growth. Mix a bit of castor oil with coconut oil and apply the mixture to the scalp. Leave it for an hour, so that the scalp can absorb the oil. Wash it off with a good shampoo. Remember, castor oil is a very sticky substance, so do not use too much of it.

If you do not have time to apply the recommended remedies to your hair, there is nothing to worry. There are other ways of increasing hair growth. Include a good amount of green vegetables in your daily meals.

Now that you know the easy way to have healthy long hair, stop wasting your time and go for any of the suitable ones.
