Some Effective Home Remedies To Treat Sun Burn Blisters

Tea Bags

If your skin has blistered, boil some tea bags and allow them to cool after the tea has been brewed. If you can, refrigerate the tea bags. Now apply these icy-cold tea bags on the blistered skin. This will give you instant relief from pain caused by the blisters.

Vinegar

Vinegar is a great agent for reducing skin sensitivity and pain .It is ideally suited for harsh insect bites and sun burns. Mix a capful of vinegar into icy cold water and wash the area of the sun burn with this water.

This will give instant relief from the sun burn. Lavender vinegar and apple cider vinegar also have cooling properties that help to reduce skin sensitivity and burning.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera Gel and creams are best suited for sun burn blisters as they have a cooling effect and promote fast healing. Wash the area of the sun burn and apply the gel immediately for a cooling effect.

Treat Sun Burn Blisters

Oats

Soak a bath with cold water and to this add two cups of oat meal. Now take a bath with this water. The oats will help to reduce swelling and redness brought about by the sun burn.

Milk and Curd

Apply some ice cold milk and curd to the affected areas for instantaneous relief from burning and soreness. Keep repeating this treatment over a few days for faster healing.

Essential Oils

Soak in a cool bath containing a few drops of relaxing essential oils like laveneder oil and chamomile oil for a soothing and relaxing effect on the sun burn.

Cucumbers

Cucumber is known for its cooling effect. Grate a cucumber and mix it with curd. Now apply the grated cucumber and curd mixture all over your sun burn for a soothing and cooling effect.

Potato

Apply the slice of a potato to the blisters. Potatoes have antiseptic properties that will reduce inflammation and will prevent the blisters from getting infected. Keep the area clean and dry.

Keep the sun burn away from heat as heat will only aggravate the pain and discomfort. Repeat the above tips for as long and as often as you can. You can try to put some ice packs on the sun burn to prevent the blisters from forming.

Repeated cooling will also reduce the swelling and redness. If the skin has blistered, don’t try to burst or pop the blisters as it may lead to infection. Let the blisters heal on their own.
