Homemade Conditioners
Using conditioners after washing your hair with shampoo can give you hair that is manageable, shiny and soft. Conditioners restore vitality and are recommended after ever wash.
Although there are lots of conditioners available in the market, homemade ones are better and cheaper any day.
Some homemade conditioners are detailed below:
Oat milk + Mimosa + Ylang Ylang
For this you will need 75 ml or 5 tbsp of conditioner base, 25 ml or 2 tbsp oat milk, 10 drops each of ylang ylang and lavender oil, 5 drops each of petigrain and mimosa. Mix the conditioner base and oat plant milk in a container. Slowly mix the essential oils, one at a time stirring with a rod or chopstick. Pour into a bottle and seal tight. Use as required.
This conditioner has an exotic floral scent. It gives your hair a shiny soft look and is best suited for dry and damaged colored hair.
Clary sage + rosewood
For this you would need 100 ml or 6 tbsp conditioner base, 10 drops each of clary sage and rosewood oil, 5 drops of rosemary oil, and 3 drops of lavender oil and 2 drops of tea tree oil. Put the conditioner base in a container and mix the essential oils, one at a time stirring with a rod or chopstick. Pour into a bottle and seal tight. Use as required.
This conditioner helps control excessive sebum secretion and is best suited for oily hair.
Fruits, vegetables and nourishing supplements can also act as conditioners.
For an avocado conditioner, blend the fruit in a blender and beat in 2 egg yolks. Massage this mixture into the scalp and rinse with a mix of vinegar and lime juice.
Mayonnaise can also condition your hair. Apply warm mayonnaise onto unwashed hair and rinse after about half an hour. This gives great results.
For a saffron homemade conditioner, apply boiled and cooled saffron water mixed with lime juice and 1 tbsp honey to scalp and hair. Rinse with cold water after 15 minutes to acquire a golden sheen.
Homemade conditioners are more natural, cheaper and safer than the commercial conditioners.
