Homemade Lotions
February 16, 2009
Lotions are the medicinal or cosmetic liquids prepared for external use on the body. Lotions moisturize the body. They are applied with palms or fingers. They spread easily and get absorbed quickly as they are thinner than creams.
Body lotions are used in summers to cure the skin dried by the strong sun rays and winters to cure the chapped skin due to dry cool air.
The key ingredients of lotions are glycerol, petroleum jelly, proteins, preservatives etc. Lotions can be made at home.
