All that the tips to making soap at home are lye crystals, cold water, coconut oil, olive oil, scented oil, a wide-mouth jar, a stainless steel pan and a wooden spoon.
• Take the wide-mouth jar and add 10 1/4 ounces of lye in 4 cups of cold water and stir until the crystals get completely dissolved.
• Place that wide-mouth jar in cold water to bring down the temperature of the lye water to 95-98 degrees.
• After that, place that mixture in the stainless steel pan and melt it.
