You should be careful in utilizing a barbeque. Otherwise, your whole surroundings could be set on fire. Watch out for the following guidelines and tips that will enable you to cook delicious barbeques in safety.
Tips
1. You can use charcoal as fuel in a barbeque. However, it will take some time to get the required temperature; after that the temperature will be maintained for a long time.
2. If you use the above-mentioned charcoal barbeque, you could see a slight deposit of ashes over the charcoal. This indicates that the fuel has achieved the maximum temperature that will be held for a long time.
3. While using charcoal, make sure that the fuel has been burned for at least 20-30 minutes before the food is mounted on the grill.
4. To avoid an explosion from the barbeque, use oil on the grill. You should be careful not to spill oil on the food substance. The amount of oil should be minimal.
5. While you are cooking fatty food substances on the barbeque, try to use tin foil. Cover the grill with tin foil and then set the food material over it. This will help to prevent excess fat coming out of food from landing in the charcoal.
6. Some times fire may erupt out of the barbeque. It is recommended to use a spray bottle in case any emergency occurs.
7. The food should not cover up the whole barbeque area. Since some food materials have a tendency to get enlarged while being cooked, you should leave adequate space on both sides.
8. Some materials only need the minimum temperature to get cooked. You should keep them on the barbeque when the fuel underneath is getting burned and producing the maximum temperature.
9. The problem with food items that need prolonged time for cooking is that they get cooked well outside but inside will be uncooked. To avoid the situation, place those foods on barbeque only after the temperature of the fuel gets cooled down.
10. Tidiness is a factor that affects the taste of the food. After each cooking, clean the barbeque well.
