How To Care For Your Nose Piercing

It is very important to take care of the nose after getting it pierced. No doubt nose piercing looks very good but it is very important to take the right precautions and care to keep it healthy and infection free.

Don’t ignore to clean your nose properly other wise it can lead to serious and even dangerous infections which can land you in very big trouble. Make sure that your hands are clean before you touch your nose. Even the piece of jewelry should be clean and infection free.

Take extra care when you are going in for a new piercing. In order to clean it put the piercing area in the warm water. Make sure you do not rotate the nose pin or stud to ensure cleaning from all directions.

This will cause cuts and lead to infection instead use inside and outside movement to clean it properly. This will help to loosen the matter without causing the infection.

It is very essential to use a very gentle soap for cleaning as harsh soaps or gels harm the area where piercing has been done. Use a cotton ball or Q-Tips while cleaning the stud. Strictly avoid alcohol or hydrogen peroxide instead use a first aid liquid solution like Bactine.

Another thing to be avoided on this area is make up. People generally use foundation or make up cover to make it look better when the piercing has been done recently. This is very dangerous as it can lead to infection as make up products have the risk of introducing bacteria to this area.This can result in a very complicated situation and at times it can also be very painful.

Therefore, it is advisable to follow the safety precautions instead of landing yourself in trouble. Don’t take these things lightly because it can really spoil the whole look of your face if you happen to catch an infection. The jewelry on the nose will look good only if the area is cleaned properly and if it is kept infection free.
