Taking care of your diet is the first and foremost step in dealing with blackheads. Avoid oily foods which promote excess sebum production. Cleanse your system by drinking enough water and fruit juices.

Wash your face twice a day with salt solution. Add one tablespoon of salt to 2 cups full of warm water. The salt solution will help in reducing the sebum production in the skin, thus reducing the incidence of blackheads.

Make it a point to steam your face at least twice a week. The steam will help to open all the closed pores in the skin, thus facilitating their unclogging. Wash your face with cold water after steaming and also pat dry with a towel. Instead of using water, you can steam your face by using a solution of baking soda for improved results.
Applying lime juice on your blackheads is an effective method of getting rid of them. The acidity of the lemon juice lowers the oil level in the skin, thereby reducing blackhead formation.
Another remedial measure is applying a mixture of egg white and honey on the affected areas and washing off after 15 minutes. Also application of a face pack made of fuller’s earth and rose water is seen effective in removing blackheads.
Never go to bed without completely removing your makeup. Also do not use oil based creams and cosmetics as they will enhance blackheads formation.
Follow a regular skin care regime of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. You can also visit your salon once a month for getting facials.
Lastly, never try to squeeze out your black heads as it can cause scar formation on your skin.
