How to Get Rid of Dandruff
Dandruff is one of the worst scalp conditions one can have. It not only makes the scalp itchy, but also causes hair loss as well. Even though there are so many anti dandruff shampoos available in the market, it is difficult to find one that will suit your hair.
And not to mention the fact that there are many who have faced severe hair loss after using anti dandruff shampoos. However, that does not mean this scalp condition does not have a remedy.
Before we move on to the remedies, it is better that we know what dandruff really is. It is the dead cells of the scalp. There are several causes for dandruff such as not eating a proper diet, using a shampoo that is not suitable for your hair, being constipated and excess use of hair products can lead to dandruff.
The good news is that this can be cured. But instead of using the chemical remedies, it is better to use natural remedies. That way, you will get rid of dandruff and at the same time, you will not expose your hair to chemicals.
Lemon Juice is excellent for your hair as well as the scalp. Take a mug full of water and add some fresh Lemon Juice to that. Rinse your hair with that water. Do this after you have shampooed your hair.
It is known fact that Coconut Oil is a magic potion for hair. Massage warm Coconut Oil on your scalp at least three times a week and see the difference.
Sour Curd is also good for the hair. It also helps to get rid of dandruff. All you need to do is massage your scalp with sour Curd and keep it for half hour. Then wash it off.
Applying Henna can also be helpful. Another good remedy is Onion Juice. Apply fresh juice of Onion on your scalp and keep it for 10 minutes, and then wash it off with shampoo. Do this at least three times a week.
Aloe Vera gel is also a good remedy for dandruff. Apply the fresh gel on the scalp and keep it for an hour. Then wash it off with water.
Remember, prevention is always better than cure. So it is better to prevent the attack of dandruff. For that, make sure you keep your scalp clean at all times. Do not stay out in the sun for too long. That will make the scalp dry and cause dandruff. Use a mild shampoo that will be gentle on the scalp. And make sure you use a good conditioner regularly. That would keep dandruff away.
