How To Have Clean Underarms
Wearing sleeveless or short sleeved dresses can only remain as a dream for some individuals, thanks to many factors like dark underarms, sweaty armpits, skin irritation or bad body odor etc.
And while they try almost every single rule in the book like waxing, shaving, deodorizing, etc. they always seem to end up with unclean underarms that tend to ward off everyone around them. Well, here are some effective tips to help you with just that.
Given below are some common causes for unclean underarms and effective ways to treat the same. So your dream of wearing short sleeved dresses need no longer remain as just a dream.
Tip To Have Clean Underarms
Taking Care of Skin Irritation
Strong scented soaps and body washes contain chemicals that can affect the sensitive skin in the underarm area, causing issues like excessive sweating, dryness or rashes. So it is best considered to use mild soaps and body washes, and take bath in luke-warm water.
Applying some talcum powder to the underarm area can prevent the skin from drying up. If you are apprehensive of the talcum stains that you may get on your dress, you can use arm pads. Skin irritation can also occur due to excessive cosmetic usage in the area or friction.
So avoid using strong deodorants or creams in the armpits. Use essential oils like coconut or Vitamin E oil for the same. Try wearing loose clothing that doesn’t rub with the armpits. Opt for cotton clothing as well that is both airy and good for sensitive skin.
Taking Care of Body Odor
A bad body odor can be due to several reasons. Whatever be the reason, a bad body odor can be a cause for concern and become quite an embarrassing issue in public. Opt for mild deodorants and perfumes to prevent bad odor at the armpits.
Strong perfumes can cause irritation and can be too pungent at times. So make sure that you dab just a small amount of perfume on the armpits just before you head out.
Sweaty armpits can also cause bad body odor and can cause the skin in the armpits to darken. So make sure that you keep checking the same at regular intervals.
Keep some tissues or a towel at hand to wipe your armpits dry whenever you feel them getting sweaty. Alternatively, you can opt to apply some gram flour or fuller’s earth to the armpits to reduce sweating.
Taking Care of Dark Underarms
Use natural deodorants like talcum powder or sandal wood paste instead of artificial deodorants in order to keep your underarms odor free, and white in the process.
Underarms can also become dark due to thick hairs that are either hard to remove or look bad even when shaved off. In case of thick underarm hair it is best considered to use hair removing cream instead of shavers to remove the same.
Certain deodorants come with skin whitening properties to help take care of dark underarms. In addition to this, you can also opt for bleaching treatments to make your underarms look clean and white.
