How To Have Soft Hands During The WinterThe harsh cold and dry air of the winter months takes away all the moisture from our hands and makes them dry and flaky. But fortunately you can protect the delicate skin of your hands and nourish them despite the winter harshness so that they can appear healthy and radiant. Here are few easy and simple tips to keep your hand soft and smooth during winter by spending just few dedicated minutes each day.

How To Have Soft Hands During The Winter

The skin on our hands is quite thin and delicate in comparison to the skin we have on our face and other body parts. So when our hands come in contact with dry air, detergent, soap etc. they become all the more dry and rough. To stop speedy ageing of your hands, they need good care.

The easiest treatment that works effectively for keeping your hands soft and healthy is to soak your hands in warm water for about 10-15 minutes. Mix one teaspoon almond oil in this water.  Also mix 1 tablespoon salt and squeeze half lemon in this water and gently rub your skin to remove dead skin. If you want your hands to be suppler, dip your hands in warm milk. The milk contains calcium which will strengthen your the nails also.

Moisturizing creams and lotions containing rich hydrating agents like glycerin and allantonin leave a protective layer over the surface of your skin. Many of them contain emollients like mallow and marshmallow of the plants, protective silicon oil, hydrating agents like urea and lemon extract that bring glow to the skin. Lotions containing vitamin E or cocoa butter works extremely well to make your hand soft and smooth. Using a good moisturizer containing these ingredients regularly can make your hands velvety smooth.
