How To Take Care Of Your Nails

As if having dry hands isn’t enough, what hurts women even more is having problems with their nails and in particular, cracked cuticles.

Nails are woman’s next colored play thing that comes second only to her face.

Women enjoy this indulgence to boost total appearance especially on occasions when they want to stand out. That is why they spend hours to pamper their nails, even go as far as weekly or monthly appointments with nail spa, just to take care of nails.

What causes cuticles to crack?

Cuticles are sensitive to weather conditions in the same way our skin reacts to it, especially to the cold weather. Winter is the time when our skin is mostly susceptible to intense dryness. Our cuticles too react in the same way to cold and dry air. Not only that, other factors that aggravate this condition are constant hand washing and failure to moisturize.

Don’t let this happen to your cuticles. Remember, as your hair is your crowning glory, your nails, howsoever tiny that they may seem, can add definition to your character. Surely a sign of cracked cuticles could only mean one thing, how little emphasis you give to the finer details of your body.

How can you remedy your cracked cuticles?

There are many nail care and cuticle products in the market that are specifically designed for regular maintenance. Use it to fix your cracked cuticles.

The first thing that you must do is to moisturize. Get nail care cream products with organic ingredients like Jojoba, Almond Oil, Vitamin E or Shea Butter. These are great in helping cuticle issues. Apply it to your cuticles. You may also find these products beneficial for your heels and elbows, so include them while you’re at it. Apply it to your nails and surrounding cuticles. Rub or massage gently. Do this daily.

At night, you can apply super-strength cream to your hands and cover it with gloves overnight. Do this treatment for a number of nights. Go for hand cream products like the ones made by Keihl and Dove.
