Eyeliner is a makeup accessory. Many women use eyeliner as part of their daily make up. Eyeliner is very popular because of its quality of beautifying the eyes. Eyeliner makes your eyes to be more noticeable. Without eyeliner, your eyes may not be noticed that much.

There are many types of eyeliner available and you have to choose the correct one for you.

Gel eyeliner: It is the newest eyeliner in the market. It has a great advantage when compared to other eyeliners. It is thick and hence easy to apply, and stays longer. It is best to use this eyeliner with stiff brush. Gel eyeliner comes in lot of shades and you should select the correct shade which matches your eye color.

Grey shades looks good with any eye color. The correct way to use gel eyeliner is to dip the tip of the brush in the gel eyeliner and smear in small quantities on the lash line. Remove extra gel and apply it to upper eyelash line keeping your eyes closed. Apply it from the inside corner of your eyes and apply it outward.

You can even apply it to the bottom eyelash line. But here you have to start from the outer corner and bring it inward. Gel eyeliner works great compared to pencils because it is easier to use and is not harsh on the skin surrounding the eyes.

Pencil eyeliner: These are basically hard. It does not spread evenly. It often pulls and acts harsh on the skin surrounding the eye. It is very difficult to apply, but if you really like pencil eyeliner then go for branded one. Choose cream eyeliner, it is easier to apply compared to non creamy pencil eyeliner.

Liquid eyeliner: If you want to create a better look you have to use liquid eyeliner. You must practice to use liquid eyeliner properly. Once you have practiced learning how to apply liquid eyeliner, you can master the art.

Sometimes eyeliner looks very sharp when we try to get smoky eye effect. In this case, you should soften it by dusting powder on your eyeliner. For doing this, it is advised to use eye shadow brush. Eyeliner provides new shape and size to your eyes. Small eyes can be made to look bit big by lining them with a dark shade.
