How To Use Essential Oils To Beautify Oily HairEssential oils can be used to deal with a wide range of health and beauty woes. Even in the case of oily hair, they can be used to slow down the production of sebum which is produced by the sebaceous glands under the scalp. These glands need to produce an adequate amount of sebum on a daily basis as this helps to keep the scalp moisturized. It also helps to add a glossy look to your hair and prevents it from tangling. If the hair does not have enough sebum, it appears very dry and is coarse when touched. However, if the sebaceous glands produce sebum in excess, the hair becomes heavy with oil and it ends up looking flat.

In some cases, the problem of oily hair is caused by climatic conditions. If the weather is very humid or extremely dry, the sebaceous glands start producing extra oil and this causes problems. Hormonal fluctuations can also trigger the problem of oily hair and this is why people are most likely to suffer from such problems at puberty. People who consume greasy food items on a regular basis can also develop such a problem. Given below are a few common essential oils which can be used to bring this problem under control.

Essential Oils To Beautify Oily Hair

The tea tree oil which is added to the shampoo helps to dissolve the oil which has already been produced by the sebaceous glands. It also curbs the production of oils by the scalp in the future. Tea tree oil is known to be a very powerful astringent and so it is effective in such cases. If your hair keeps getting oily even after shampooing it daily, you can dilute some tea tree oil in water and spray it all over your hair at regular intervals throughout the day.
