Studies show a decline in infertility rate in recent years. There are many possible reasons for this change which may include lifestyle changes, healthier habits, exercise, or any of hundreds of other possibilities. Since each women’s infertility issues are different, there are many different treatments for the problem.
Different cultures have different methods of dealing with infertility issues. Your own physician is the best person to advise you on this.
Testing
There is no way to find the right female infertility treatment without first making a determination of why there is a problem. Your doctor will likely begin by conducting a hormone test. They normally use saliva samples when doing these tests. They may do these tests repeatedly to check the hormone levels at different times of the month.
From these tests they can determine everything that occurs during your cycle. An egg has to develop, then ovulation occurs, then it has to mature, and it has to release and travel through the fallopian tubes so it can be fertilized by sperm. There are many things that can go wrong during this process, and it all has to be done on your own body’s schedule.
Medication options
As your test results are read, you may be eligible for an infertility medication. These medicines are formulated to create stimulation for the ovaries at just the precise time which can enable you to become pregnant.
Another common problem with fertility involves the pituitary gland. There are a host of medications that are available to rectify this problem.
Surgical Options
Your surgical options may include fertilizing your egg externally and then allowed to begin their growth before they are replaced inside your uterus. The fertilized eggs are usually allowed to grow in the laboratory for about five days before they are returned. Then you are left to carry your baby to term and ultimately deliver your baby.
If you have a physical reason that is preventing you from conceiving a child, there are many other surgical options available to you. Most of these treatments offer hope to couples who would not otherwise be able to conceive. All hope is not lost. It’s just a matter of time until they can determine why there is difficulty and which treatment will best work for you.
