It’s About Honey, Honey!

honeyHoney is simply amazing. Made by bees from nectar, this substance is not only delicious, but offers incredible benefits to your skin, body, and general health.

Honey Cleanser. Ten drops of lemon juice and two tablespoons of almonds that have been finely ground mixed with a tablespoon of honey makes a great face cleanser. Gently scrub your face with it and rinse it away with water at room temperature.

Mask Treatment. Mix one egg white with one tablespoon of honey, and then stir in enough flour to form a paste to create a rejuvenating facemask. Smooth it over your face and let it sit for ten minutes. Afterwards, wash it off using lukewarm water.

Condition Your Hair. If your hair needs a bit of conditioning, mix two to three tablespoons of olive oil with half a cup of honey. Coat your hair completely with the mixture; sectioning off areas of your scalp helps. You can keep the house clean by putting on a shower cap for the next 30 minutes while your conditioner “processes.”

Tone Your Skin. Break out the blender and add one tablespoon of honey to an apple puree, and then apply the mixture to your face. After 15 minutes, wash it off with cool water and you’ll notice the difference!

Dry Skin Help. Stir one teaspoon of milk and one tablespoon of honey to create a natural moisturizer. Smooth it over your face and let it sit for ten minutes before rinsing with room-temperature water.

Lotion to Smooth Skin. Dip a cotton swab into a mixture of one teaspoon of cooking oil, one teaspoon of honey and a quarter of a teaspoon of lemon juice, then gently massage it into your elbows, heels and hands. Ten minutes later, wash off the residue using lukewarm water.

Bathe Your Way to Soft Skin. Throw a quarter of a cup of honey into a warm bath for luxuriously silky experience.

Shiny Hair. After shampooing, pour a mix of one-teaspoon honey and four cups of warm water over your hair. Don’t rinse it out, just leave it in there while you dry your hair and it will shine beautifully!

Vocal Cord Health. Your vocal cords experience wear and tear every day. You can combat this with a teaspoon of honey each day.

Boost Your Energy. Honey is full of vitamins, glucose, minerals, and fructose, so pass on the sugar and add a little honey to your coffee. It’ll taste just as sweet and give a boost of energy.

Help Yourself Heal. Honey actually helps prevent scarring and seems to have something of an antiseptic quality. Applying a little bit to a cut or wound will help your injury heal faster and stay clean.
