Lemon Detox Diet – Cleanse the Body the Natural Way

The word diet refers to the food and drink we consume over the course of a day. When we limit the portion of food we eat , or consume only a particular type of food we are basically following a special diet regimen. From diets which assure us ‘weight loss’ to detox diets, the choices are unlimited.

The natural process of removing toxic matter and waste from the body is called detoxification. This is essential for the body’s normal functioning.  There are a number of short term diets which aid this process. Lemon Detox  is one such diet, which aids in the detoxification process. This diet is practiced in over 30 countries and has a following of several thousands.

Over a period of time,  there is a buildup of waste matter in the colon. This prevents the colon from functioning at its optimal levels. The buildup of this waste matter hampers the normal functions of the body and can ultimately result in weight gain.

The Lemon detox diet, also known as lemon cleanse, contains inexpensive and easily available ingredients. This is a liquid diet which contains natural tree syrup and cayenne pepper in addition to lemon juice.

All these ingredients which make up the Lemon detox diet are excellent eliminators of toxic materials from the body. To get the optimum results, it is recommended that you have at least 6 to 9 glasses a day of this drink, along with increasing intake of water.

Lemon juice is the main ingredient of this concoction. It is an  excellent source of Vitamin C and helps to increase the bowel motility. Cayenne pepper aids in the cleansing process by increasing the body’s metabolic function.  Tree syrup or maple syrup is rich in carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals and helps to energize the body.

People who have followed the Lemon Detox Diet have experienced many positive benefits including weight loss,  a greater sense of well being, stronger nails, sparkling eyes, supple skin, lustrous hair, increased energy levels and a general  feeling of enhanced vitality.

People with underlying health complications,  such as those who have recently undergone surgery,  or childbirth, should not follow the Lemon Detox Diet plan.

Like all good things, exercise moderation and be judicious when you commence this diet plan.Ensure that you do not go overboard with the Lemon Detox Diet.
