Low calorie alcoholic drinks that have less then a hundred calorie per serving include; Vodka, Scotch, Rum, Brandy, and Tequila. The average single serving size of these five low calorie alcoholic drinks is one shot. The amount of calories is between 60 and 70 calories, assuming that the drinks neat.
Drinks that are less than 200 Calories
Red Wine, White Wine, Bacardi, Champagne, Whiskey Sour, Screwdriver, and Margaritas, are all low calorie alcoholic drinks with more than a hundred calories but less than two hundred calories per single serving. A single serving of each drink is five ounces.
How to Get the Most from Your Drink
In addition to drinking low calorie alcoholic drinks there are other things you can do so that you can enjoy your evening and not ruin your diet.
Mix water into your drink. Not only will the water dilute the calories in the drink, it will also give you a larger drink, making it last longer. You should also make sure that you have ice in your low calorie alcoholic drink, as the ice melts it will further dilute your drink.
Take small sips of your drink. Sipping your drink will make it last longer, the longer your drink last, the less likely you will be to reach for another one.
Avoid mixed drinks. The main part of the drink might be low calorie, but chances are pretty good that whatever it is mixed with is full of calories. For the sake of your waistline keep your drinks neat.
