Makeup Fixes – Part I
Expert makeup artists do the job in a breeze. It is very easy for them to put on makeup on the faces of their clients and make them look like a million dollars. But that is not everybody’s cup of tea. Not everyone can afford to have their own makeup people at hand.
The regular woman tries her own hand in applying makeup and often the results are less than desirable. This occurs when we are in a hurry and the end result is more clownish than anything else. But mistakes occur, after all we are human so, the good news is that, there are quick and easy fixes to cover up those makeup gaffes! The mascara is an important part of the beauty routine. But often it smears making the person look like raccoon.
It is important to clean your mascara brush thoroughly to avoid getting clumps. After you clean your brush, wash thoroughly and sterilize it. Then dry it well and keep it in a separate bag to avoid any dust particles getting on it. Sometimes, when the mascara smears or sticks underneath the eyes, take a clean brush and gently brush the smear away. Or take a cotton ball, wet with glycerin or rose water or your makeup remover, and wipe the smudge carefully. The best way to avoid such a disaster is to let the mascara dry properly before proceeding with the rest of your eye makeup.
Sometimes your lipstick can also cause you trouble. Even after applying the lipstick carefully, it may so happen that it will bleed and stain your teeth. The best way to avoid this is to use a primer or a lip liner before applying the lipstick. You can also dab your lip area with your foundation to make the color stay. Still if the problem persists, and you find the color bleeding around the fine lines near your lips, then clean the entire lip area if necessary.
Also clean your lipstick brush in your make up remover. And then dip the brush into your foundation to even out the area and apply fresh color carefully with a lip brush if possible. If your lip color gets darker than you want, then use a neutral color to lighten the shade. You can also opt for a gold or silver metallic color on the top. But reserve this metallic look only for night!
