Making Bronze Makeup Look Natural

First Step

A natural tan is quite beautiful and quite unhealthy. While enjoyable for a few weeks there is usually a price attached such as sagging skin, wrinkles, and even skin cancer. Bronzer cosmetics will give you the sun glow and youthfulness without these hazards. However, applying this cosmetic in a natural way can pose a challenge. Here are some handy hints on doing it:

Second Step

Choose a suitable shade: The selection of too dark a shade makes the bronzer look harsh and even gives your face a dirty appearance. During winter buy a bronzer only a couple of shades darker than your skin, but in summer you can make it darker because there is exposure to the sun.

Check the shade on the back of the hand at a cosmetic counter to select one that complements your skin complexion. It’s a better idea to check the colour in natural light rather than the cosmetic counter light to get a realistic feedback.

Third step

Select the correct tools: A large brush for powder, which has soft bristles, is ideal for bronzer cosmetics. It gives a more natural appearance. Stand close to natural sunlight and use a good mirror. You mustn’t surprise yourself by discovering you have overdone it.

Fourth Step

Before using a bronzer apply a thin layer of foundation, then a light dusting of powder with a large brush creating a smooth canvas for your bronzer. A good choice is mineral powder. Make sure all the applications are well blended and natural looking.

Fifth Step

Apply on the Bronzer: Using a large sized powder brush, tip on a little bit of bronzer and sweep it across the places that are usually exposed to the sun, like the sides of the nose, forehead and jaw line. Leave a contrast by not making application under your eyes. A light layer on the neck will avoid differentiation with the face.

Sixth Step

Correct problems: Using a fresh powder brush softens any unblended lines. You are ready and you have not damaged your skin.
