Natural Skin Care

November 29, 2008

Who does not want to have a healthy skin? You wash the face, use the right product, eat healthy, but then again your skin is not safe from toxins. Before you blame the climate change and the environment pollution that is a big threat to your skin, think again. Take a good look at your beauty products. The chemical beauty products contain components that are often hazardous to your skin.

Luckily there are several natural products available in the market. They are chemical free and do not have any adverse effect on the skin. But you have to be careful and know if your skin is allergic to any of the ingredients used in the product.

Just in case if you do not believe is what the labels say, you can make your very own natural beauty products at home. It is less expensive and you can prepare any amount you want. Besides you will not have to run to the stores and confuse yourself with so many options.

For fair skin all you need is honey, gram flour (also known as chickpea flour) and water. Add 2 teaspoons of gram flour with 1 teaspoon of water and 1 teaspoon oh honey. Mix well and make a paste. Apply to skin before bath and keep it for 5 minutes. This will make your skin smooth and fair. And you can apply this mixture to your whole body.

Want a cleanser that also works as a moisturizer? Just take plain yogurt. Add a few drops of honey with required amount of yogurt. Apply it on your face, avoiding eye areas. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water. You will love the clean and smooth skin.

Dead cells make the face look dull and lifeless. To get rid of the dead cells, you need to exfoliate regularly. Use a homemade scrub that is easy to make. Take 1 tablespoon of oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of milk powder and 2 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients and apply it on face and leave it to dry. When it gets dry, remove the mixture by scrubbing. Then wash your face with lukewarm water and then rinse with cold water.

Now if you do not have the time to go to a salon, there is no need to worry. You can prepare all the beauty products you need all by yourself at home.
