Oily Skin Care
Oily skin is basically the type of skin that has overactive glands that produce excess oil. This makes the skin look greasy and thus making the skin prone to acne and blackheads.
Oily skin needs special treatment. One has to wash face several times to look fresh and clean. There are several factors that cause oily skin namely diet, hereditary, cosmetics, weather etc.
Cleansing: Cleansing is a must for any skin type. And for oily skin it is more important because this particular type of skin attracts dirt like magnet. You can have your very own homemade natural cleanser for oily skin at home. Take a few grapes and smash them to paste. Add a few drops of lemon juice and egg white with that. Mix the ingredients well and apply to skin. Keep it for 20 minutes and wash it off. Lemon juice works like magic potion on oily skin. You can also mix lemon juice with oat or yogurt and use that as a cleanser as well.
Moisturizer: For healthy skin, moisturizer is a must, no matter what the skin type. For oily skin you can prepare a homemade moisturizer at home that is very effective. For this you need to mix ½ cup of almond oil with 2 tablespoons of beeswax. You will also need ¼ cup of distilled water, ¼ cup of rose water, 5 drops of galbanum essential oil and 4 drops of rose essential oil. Mix the beeswax with distilled water and melt it. Make sure the heat is not too high. After the wax and distilled water are mixed, put them in a blender and blend them on low speed. While blending, add the almond oil, rose water and the essential oils. Preserve it in a bottle.
Protect: Prevention is better than cure. So better protect your skin from harsh chemicals by using all natural products. And at the same time you have to be careful about your diet as well. Keep your face clean, eat lots of vegetables, and make sure you carry an umbrella when you go out on a sunny day.
