Pregnancy Health Tips
Health during pregnancy is a top priority that needs your attention in this critical time. As it is a particularly demanding stage for mothers, it is always best to eat what is right and healthy for you and your baby’s needs.
Too Much to Eat is Not Always Good
Considering the fact that both mother and baby have to be supported with the right nutrition as a pregnancy diet, it does not mean that mothers have to eat more than enough to satisfy the needs of both. This notion has been the reason why mothers tend to overeat and are mislead into believing that this is good for the baby.
Indeed, you have a reason to feed two; however, it is only the mother who can absorb just as much nutrients as she can. Regulate your intake to an extra 200 and nothing more than 300 calories each day for the mother. This way, you are at ease that you eat for you and your baby’s health needs but not more than what your body can afford to take.
The Right Diet Plan
Nourishing for pregnancy institutes the need for the right diet plan—that which is healthy and regulated. Thus, the following nutrients must be part of the day’s meal:
• Vitamin C-rich
• Iron and
• Calcium
Moreover, plenty of water must support this diet. In contrast to most assumptions about avoiding salty and fatty food, there is no need to completely avoid them. The only concern is that you should take foods high in salt and fat in moderation.
Assure that you take prenatal vitamins with the doctor’s prescription. Be aware and take heed, especially in taking folic acid. Folic Acid is actually a key component for the inhibition and avoidance of problems concerning birth as it also assists in the growth of the placenta and foetus inside the womb. Bear in mind that during this critical stage, you need to exercise caution to make the right decision.
