Rosacea is a chronic skin condition. In this case, the skin becomes red and sometimes there can be swelling as well. This disease does not occur in one day, it takes time to develop.
Children of any age and any skin color can have this problem. But in case of adults, those with light complexion tend to have this skin problem. Though the main cause of this skin problem is still unknown but studies show that this disease is hereditary and can be passed on to from one generation to another.
This is a common disease and has a cure as well. These days the most popular way of curing rosacea is laser treatment. As a matter of fact, this method is very effective and more people prefer this method to any other treatment.
There are two different types of laser treatment to cure rosacea. They are PDL and IPL. PDL means Pulsed Dye Laser and on the other hand, IPL means Intensed Pulsed Light.
PDL has been used for a long time to cure this disease. According to studies, this is one of the most effective ways to cure rosacea. It is less time consuming and it can treat any kind of rosacea and all it takes is one to two treatments. Many who have used this treatment has said that this has reduced the dryness of the skin, itchy feeling, swelling, flushing, burning sensation, and other skin sensitivity.
Here it should be mentioned that this treatment can cause bruises on the skin, but that is temporary. The bruise does not last more then two weeks.
IPL or Intensed Pulsed Light is the newest technology added to laser treatment to cure rosacea. The most interesting fact about this treatment is that this uses a light that is non-laser. Even then, this method is known to be very effective in curing the various types of rosacea.
Here it should be mentioned that this has some side effects. But that are temporary. The symptoms seem like the disease itself, but they disappear in a short while.
Before you go for this treatment, you need to consult a skin specialist and know if your skin is suitable for such treatment. Not all skin can undergo this treatment. So you have to be very careful. Better to be safe than making the skin condition worse.
