Skin Care During Summers
Summers are back so is the tension of your skin care. Taking care of your skin is not an easy thing to do and it becomes more difficult in summers.
Hot weather, Ultra violet rays and humidity in summers can hugely affect your skin. Skin need to be treated with some extra care in summers; let see how we can provide best care to our skin during odd summers.
Moisturizing is very important in summers. Skin gets oily in summers due to the production of more sebum. But it does not mean that you need not to moisturize your skin. Go for water based light moisturizer in summers that is less on oil and have all nourishing qualities.
Follow a proper cleansing routine throughout the day. Use a non soapy gentle face wash that cleanse your face without drying your skin. Cleansing is very important in order to keep your skin refreshing all the time and prevent it from other skin problems.
Sunscreen is a must to apply whenever you go out. Go for the one that can provide a broad spectrum protection against ultraviolet A and ultraviolet B rays. Choose sunscreens that provide at least Sun protection factor of 15 (SPF15). Most of the sunscreens fuse after 3 hours of application so reapply it every 3-4 hours. Even if it is a cloudy day; do not avoid sunscreen.
Go for a summer friendly fashion and make-up. Wear soothing loose clothes of light cotton, Lycra and other summer lighter fabrics. Accessories dressing sense with hats, scarves, and sunglasses. Wear light water based make-up which may not wash off with sweat. Apply SPF based foundation and compacts and use powder blush instead of oil based. Apply water proof mascara and liner. Lipsticks always get smudgy and can cause skin cancer if not provided with sun protection so in summers go for tinted shades of lip glosses and colourful balms.
Application of sunscreens and sun extreme weather may create a layer of dead cells so it is necessary to exfoliate your skin regularly. Use a good scrub to remove dead cells. Scrubbing is also good to heal the tanned skin. For extreme tanning one can use natural healing repellents. Try with some homemade face packs like mixture of tomato and honey or cucumber and yogurt.
Avoid going out in the most heated hours of the day. Drink most possible quantity of water and juices to keep your skin hydrated. Eat light less oily food in summers. Add lots of salads and fruits in summers as they let your skin glow and fight against summers.
