Smudge Out The Nail Smudges
How aggravating is it to spend time and money on getting your nails done only to get up from the table and smudge! It does not seem to make a difference whether you are at the Boutique or at home, something always happens to ruin your brand new nail job.
When you are sitting down to do your nails devote some time to the process. Put on the radio and relax or find a good movie on tv. When polishing your nails, be sure to put on thin layers, at least 2, and wait for about 1 minute in between coats. This will help the polish to dry and set quicker and prevent you from smudging.
After you are done with the color, apply a thin clear top coat to seal the deal. You then want to wait approximately 5 minutes and brush on a nail oil to set in the polish and give it a beautiful shine.
Even though it may take about 15 minutes of your time, isn’t it worth it? Just think about going to see the manicurist. Every time you go it costs around $15 plus tip and you end up chipping your paint before you even make it out the door.
You could spend 15 minutes and save $15 by just sitting at home, relaxing and pampering yourself. Set aside this time for you and tell the kids that mommy needs sometime for herself. In today’s economy we are all trying to save a buck wherever we can. Not only can you have beautiful salon nails but you can have them without leaving your home or spending a lot of cash. A penny saved is a penny earned.
Smudge free is the key and with a little practice, a little time you can become a professional in your own right. You can even make it a girl’s afternoon by renting a good movie and enjoying each others company. A little afternoon gossip never hurt anybody. With our busy lifestyles it will give you a chance to catch up and stay in touch.
