Summer Makeup Tips

makeupGreat beauty seems to be sought after day after day, year after year. As we are growing up we try on our mom’s lipstick. As we get a little older we try different tips to make things look smooth. Once we get older we just try to keep everything in one place.

Summer is one of those times of year that keeping our makeup looking fresh and clean gets a little tricky. With the summer heat and humidity every little tip can help. Protection is the first thing that should be on your mind when putting on your makeup. Put sunscreen on before applying your foundation.

Going with a tinted moisturizer can keep your skin feeling fresher than wearing a foundation and a powder. With the heat, wearing a little can go a longer way. Also, a bronzing powder can give you that beautiful summer glow without staying in the sun to get it. It comes in many different shades so you will be able to find one in your skin tone.

Eye shadow can be worn in the summer but you can also leave it behind if you don’t want to wear it. You can use some light mascara and eye liner to open up your eyes instead. If you wear eye shadow, go with something light for a great summer look. Don’t forget to keep your eyebrows shaped.

Using waterproof makeup is great for the summer time to avoid having your makeup run. If you don’t want the hassle of trying to remove it, a great option is to get your eyelashes and eyebrows tinted. You will be ready to go at a moment’s notice and you can avoid the hassle of removing it.

Your lips need to stay moisturized as well during the summer. Be sure to keep lip balm on hand at all times.  Getting that natural tan and glow in the summer can leave your skin looking beautiful and you won’t need as much makeup. Use a soft powder to give a nice glow to your cheek bones and brow.

A natural blush is great for your cheeks. Don’t leave out your feet. Since you will be wearing sandals during the summer, keep your feet in tip top shape. Use a pumice stone to keep them smooth and a lotion to prevent cracked and dry skin. And lastly, don’t forget suntan lotion. Use one that has a decent SPF to prevent skin damage.
