The Abc Vitamins For Skin Care

vitamin-supplementsVitamins play a vital role in maintaining health and skin care. The vitamins for healthy skin are vitamin A, B, C, E and K.

These vitamins should be consumed in proper proportions to avoid skin becoming dull and dry.

Vitamin A

These vitamins have a number of skin benefits. They help improve condition of the skin and prevent wrinkles and fine lines.  Products containing retinoid are important in improving the quality and condition of the skin.  Use of vitamin A has beneficial effects on the surface of the skin. Vitamin A is mainly found in foods of animal origin but some fruits and vegetables contain carotenoid that can convert into vitamin A.

Vitamin B

Vitamin B gives a healthy glow to the skin. Their ability to retain moisture has made them a popular addition in cosmetic and health care products. The use of vitamin B helps relieve stress and anxiety and maintains a healthy and glowing skin. Some acidic exfoliators like glycolic acid are quite harsh for the skin and vitamin B has offered a milder alternative to this chemical ingredient. Moisturizers containing B-5 is good for sensitive skin.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C has been known in repairing sun damage and effective as an antioxidant that fights against unstable molecules which age the skin. Topical vitamin C protects the skin from the harmful ultra violet rays that causes skin cancer. They further enhance the synthesis of collagen.  Vitamin C can be used in conjunction with a good sunscreen to prevent skin damage.

Vitamin E

Use of vitamin E repairs dry, flaky and rough skin. It is commonly used in lotions and creams as it is a powerful antioxidant. It helps to retain natural moisture in the skin. Vitamin E added to lotions, creams and moisturizers plays a role in removing anti-aging of skin. It helps the skin to look younger and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is a treatment for dark under eye circles, and spider veins. They enter the pores and help to clot the blood and stop any seepage which is the most common cause of dark circles which forms under the eyes.
