The Best Tips On Beautiful Eye Brows
Eye brows are an oft neglected facial feature. Well defined eye brows can change a person’s facial structure and also add depth to his/her face. You can go from a soft look to a stern look by just the shape of your eye brows.
Blindly applying eye make up to make your eye brows look appealing is not enough. Bushy eye brows are a complete turn-off so make sure that your eye brows are devoid of stray hair especially at the brow line and the corners.
Brows which are well defined with soft make-up look the best. They look even more appealing with good shades of eye shadow. Let’s see how to get the perfect eye brows.
Eye Brow Pencil
In the early 1930’s, women used to completely shave off their eye brows with the help of a razor. Then with an eye brow pencil, a clear and well defined eye brow used to be drawn with a soft and dark pencil. With this way, one could have the eye brow shape that one desired.
While this was completely hassle free, it required a lot of technique to design and draw the perfect set of eye brows. Today, women prefer to lightly shape their eye brows by plucking out the excess hair.
The eye brow is then contoured with the help of a eye brow pencil. Make sure to use an eye brow pencil that is a shade softer than the colour of the hair. Using a very dark pencil will make the eye brow look too artificial.
Eye Brow Powder/Eye Shadow
Eye brow powders come in different shades and colours and are easily matched with the colour of your own hair. Alternately, you can also use simple eye shadow to contour your eye brows.
In order to do this, take an angled brush. Dip it into the eye brow powder palette. Now take the stylus and place it to the side of the bridge of your nose. Contour your eye brows starting from the outer edge of the eye brows and moving up to the eye brow arch.
Once a rough outline has been traced, you can start to fill in colour to your eye brow to give it volume. Make sure you use small and gentle strokes and fill in only a little colour at a time. Always follow the basic shape of your eye brow. Just like you re-apply make-up, you will also need to touch up the brows.
Fake Eye Brows
Fake eye brows are back in fashion and are made of real hair. These are stuck on with the help of an adhesive and are not noticeable when you put the eye brows in place. These then give the impression of real eye brows. Do check the adhesive for an allergic reaction.
Always remember to sharpen your eye brows from time to time. The colour of your eye brow powder should be close to the colour of your hair. Never use the eye brow powder beyond the expired date.
You can use more than two eye brow colours to give your eye brows a nice hue. This will also make your eye brows look more natural. If you are clumsy at drawing the perfect brow, use an eye brow stencil to draw the perfect eye brows.
